It’s time to audition.
Jay County Civic Theatre will hold auditions for its production of the musical “Newsies” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland.
The show is based on the true story of the 1899 newsboys strike in New York City and the 1992 movie by the same name. It offers roles for actors of all ages, with a focus on boys in middle school through college.
Those auditioning will be asked to read lines from the show and sing about 30 seconds of the song of their choice. Callbacks will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, also at Arts Place.
The show will be directed by Jason McGraw. Reid Knuth is the musical director, and Mackenzie Billington is the choreographer.

Hosting concert
Swiss Village will host Joe Justice Live in concert at 7 p.m. today at the facility at 1350 W. Main St., Berne.
Joe Justice Live is a solo act that boasts the sound of a full band. The show will feature songs from the 1960s through today.

Taste scheduled
The annual A Taste of Muncie event is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. March 31 at Conerstone Center for the Arts.
General admission tickets are $20 in advance. They will be $25 on the day of the event.
