Three arrested for dealing, possession

Three Jay County residents were arrested early this morning on drug-dealing charges.

Zavier A. Lee, 22, 209 E. Votaw St., Portland, Zaaron A. Lee, 19, 316 N. Pleasant St., Portland, and Christopher L. Walker, 27, 228 E. High St., Redkey, were arrested after Portland Police Department served a search warrant at Zavier Lee’s residence Tuesday night. 

Zavier Lee and Zaaron Lee have each been preliminarily charged with dealing cocaine, narcotics or methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. Zavier was booked at 2:24 a.m. and Zaaron at 2:25 a.m. into Jay County Jail, and each is being held on a $20,000 bond.

Walker has been been preliminarily charged with dealing cocaine, narcotics or methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. He was booked at 2:13 a.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held on a $20,000 bond. 

According to a police report, the three will face additional charges for possession of Schedule III and IV drugs. 

Possession 

A Portland man was arrested Tuesday evening on several drug-related charges. 

Jerry W. Binegar, 56, no address listed, was arrested on warrants for possession of methamphetamine, enhanced to a Level 5 felony; maintaining a common nuisance and unlawful possession of a syringe, Level 6 felonies; and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. 

He was booked at 6:13 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held without bond.

Possession 

A Redkey woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon on several drug-related charges. 

Ashley N. Nichols, 30, 4044 S. Younkin Drive, was arrested on warrants for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a narcotic drug, Level 6 felonies, and visiting a common nuisance, a Class B misdemeanor. 

She was booked at 2:24 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held on a $6,000 bond. 

Possession, failure to appear 

A Bryant woman was arrested Tuesday night on several charges. 

Terra S. Ogan, 36, 6931 N. 750 West, was arrested on warrants for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a narcotic drug and maintaining a common nuisance, all Level 6 felonies; for failing to appear in court on the charge of theft, a Level 6 felony; and on the preliminary charges of unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. 

She was booked at 9:31 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held without bond. 

Possession 

A Portland man was arrested on a drug paraphernalia charge Tuesday. 

Michael T. Gannon Jr., 25, 204 E. Main St., was arrested on a warrant for unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony. 

He was booked at 4:55 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held on a $6,000 bond.
