Red Cross drive is scheduled for Tuesday

The Red Cross will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 19 at Jay Community Center, 115 E. Water St., Portland.

Learn about Ivy

Ivy Tech Community College will hold a Go Ivy Day event Wednesday in Muncie.

The session will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at Kennedy Library, 1700 W. McGalliard Road.

Prospective students will learn about the college, and information on admissions, financial aid, orientation and career services will be available.

Seeking nominees

The Portland Foundation is accepting nominees for its Jack Cole Award for Volunteerism. 

The award was established more than two decades ago in order to honor Cole’s work as the foundation’s first executive director. Nominations should include a letter of recommendation as well as the nominees, name, address and a summary of his or her background. They can be sent to the foundation office at 107 S. Meridian St., Portland.

The winner will receive a plaque and cash award at The Portland Foundation’s annual meeting on May 15.
