Enrollment events set

Students interested in taking classes at Ivy Tech Community College will have several more chances to enroll quickly.

Ivy Tech will hold express enrollment events March 21, 26, 27 and 28 at its campus at 4301 S. Cowan Road, Muncie.

The express enrollment slated for Thursday will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The March 26 and 27 sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the March 28 event will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Those who attend the express enrollment will have help from staff regarding applying for admission, orientation, testing, financial aid, scheduling a meeting with an academic advisor and registering for classes.

No appointment is necessary, but those who plan to attend should bring a copy of their SAT, PSAT or ACT scores, high school transcript and prior college credit.

Registration for summer and fall semesters began Monday.

Registration set

Fort Recovery pre-school registration for the 2019-20 school year is scheduled for 7 p.m. March 26 in the elementary/middle school auditeria.

Those attending will need to bring their child’s birth certificate, immunization record and Social Security card. The child does not need to attend.

Conference set

LifeStream Services will hold its annual Aging Well Conference from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 6 at Horizon Convention Center in Muncie.

The conference will feature Loretta Swit as its keynote speaker. She is best known for playing Maj. Margaret Houlihan on “M*A*S*H.”

The event will also include a resource fair and breakout sessions of older adults, veterans, caregivers and healthcare professionals.

Hosting academy

Indiana Wesleyan University will host its Wildcat Summer Academy June 23 through 28.

The camps include a variety of options, including new offerings in science and songwriting this year. Camp topics include art, business innovation and entrepreneurship, leadership and life calling, nursing, science, music, theatre and writing.
