Carol Sharp

Carol Sharp, age 87, a resident of rural Portland, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Persimmon Ridge in Portland. 

Carol was born on Dec. 30, 1931, in Jay County, the daughter of Leonard and Maude (Ertel) Dull. She was a member of Hopewell of Life Ministries. She was a retired CNA who worked in private home health care. Carol married the Rev. Boyce Sharp on March 1, 1952, and he passed away on Jan. 30, 2019. 

Survivors include:

One daughter — Barbie Stump (husband: Walter), rural Portland, Indiana 

Two sons — Stephen Fisher, Salamonia, Indiana, and Gary Sharp (wife: Cindy), Boise, Idaho 

Eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren 

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Celebration of Life Services will follow on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Private burial has taken place at Claycomb Cemetery in Portland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed towards The Hospice Group.
