Dean Taylor

Dean Alan Taylor, age 48, of Portland, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

He was born in Muncie on Feb. 5, 1971, the son of Dallas “Doug” Taylor and Gloria Jean Hinshaw. He was married May 22, 1999, to Rebecca L. Burns who survives.

He attended New Covenant Church in Portland.

Surviving are his wife Rebecca; two daughters, Krysten Gentis (husband: Zach) of Fort Wayne and Brianna Taylor (fiance: Austin Harris) of Decatur; mother Jean Dull (husband: Leon) of Portland; stepmother Terri Taylor of Redkey; two brothers, Dallas Taylor of Portland and Darren Taylor of Texas; one sister, Bobi Sullivan of Portland; one grandson, Easton Genti; two granddaughters, Hadley and Jozey Gentis; and two step-brothers and one step-sister.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 30, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. There will be no funeral services.
