A presentation from another state historic site will visit Geneva during spring break week.

Limberlost State Historic Site will hold a “site swap” presentation at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Levi and Catherine Coffin and the Underground Railroad.

The “site swap” programs bring staff from other state historic sites to share their knowledge. Joanna Hahn, manager of the Levi and Catherine Coffin State Historic Site, will present the program.

The Coffins were instrumental in leading efforts to assist escaped slaves in traveling to Canada. The presentation will focus on the couple and information about why the Underground Railroad developed in Indiana and Ohio.

Admission to the program is $3 for members and $4 for non-members. For more information, contact Curt Burnette at [email protected] or (260) 368-7428.

Time to enroll

Ivy Tech will hold express enrollment events from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  today, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at its campus at 4301 S. Cowan Road, Muncie.

Those who attend the express enrollment will have help from staff regarding applying for admission, orientation, testing, financial aid, scheduling a meeting with an academic advisor and registering for classes.
