Government now has four branches
To the editor:
It has become pretty obvious to me, in light of recent events, that our current form of government has failed us miserably.
We elect representatives and send them to Washington to do our bidding, yet for far too long now, no real substantial action gets taken by them on our behalf.
It's high time that they drop the charade of being there to govern for us, as they are far too enamored with long, arduous investigations of each other, on both sides of the aisle.
We now have four branches of government, and they might as well restructure Washington to make what they are obsessed with official. The four branches of government are now executive, legislative, judicial and investigative.
It's high time they stop kidding themselves and, as Captain Picard says … “Make it so!”
Respectfully,
