Dedications set for Sunday

Exhibits that have been years in the making are ready to be dedicated.
Fort Recovery State Museum will hold a dedication ceremony for its new Wayside Exhibits on Sunday.
The event will include guided walking tours of the 15 exhibits from noon to 3 p.m. The official dedication is scheduled for 1 p.m., with Ball State University archaeologist as the presenter.
Diane Hunter, a citizen of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma, will speak at 3 p.m. about “The Mishi-maalhsa (American) Wars and Treaties and Their Impact on the Past and Present of Myaamiaki (Miami people).”
Honored
Lauren Bruns of Fort Recovery received the Aristos Eklektos Outstanding Student Award recently while participating in the University of Findlay’s Symposium of Scholarship and Creativity.
The event allows students to share research, creativity and professional learning experiences. She was also named to the Honor Society of Phil Kappa Phi Chapter 310.
Fair scheduled
The Indiana University Health Jay Health Fair is scheduled for 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the hospital.
The event will feature a variety of health information booths, covering topics such as vaccines, health insurance and stress management. There will also be free cancer screenings.
A fun walk is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. There will also be a photo booth with “Star Wars” characters.
Concerts set
Arts Place MusicWorks recitals for students who have received individual instruction will be at 10 a.m. (piano, voice and guitar) and 12:30 p.m. (string, wind and percussion) Saturday.
Instrumental ensembles will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and community choir A Choired Taste will perform at 7 p.m. May 20.
Get shuffling
The Arthur and Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion will host a shuffleboard league beginning next week.
The league will play from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursdays. Anyone 16 or older is invited to attend.
