Hilgefords celebrate 65th
Arnold and Martha Hilgeford of Portland are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary today.
Martha Muhlenkamp married Arnold Hilgeford on May 8, 1954, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bryant.
Arnold works part-time at Barnett’s Auto Parts. He retired from farming, and also worked at New Idea Center for several years. Martha is a homemaker.
They had eight children — the late Dan Hilgeford?(wife: Linda), Deb Barnett (husband: Steve), Linda Huelskamp (husband: Gregg), Betty Strawn (husband: Dennis), the late Randy Hilgeford, Donna Chenoweth (husband: Dennis), John Hilgeford (wife: Melissa) and Peg Pollard (husband: Steve).
They have 33 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
The couple will celebrate with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. May 26 at Holy Trinity School Hall in Bryant.
