Rose Wolford, age 91, of Portland passed away Tuesday at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born in Portland on Aug. 5, 1927, the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Wilkinson) Hogg. She was married Sept. 6, 1953, to Meredith Wolford, and he died July 30, 1994.
She had worked at Jay Garment and was a member of Bluff Point Friends Church and Jay County Choir. She was a 1945 Saratoga High School graduate and loved to sew.
Surviving are one son, Merrill Wolford of Portland; two brothers, John Hogg of Portland and Eddie Hogg of Portland; and one sister, Mary Lou Maddox of Portland.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Hogg; and a sister, Lydia Tingley.
Funeral services will be Saturday at noon in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Harris presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
