Possession
A Bryant man was found guilty of one charge and not guilty of the other by a jury in Jay Circuit Court.
Rocky L. Truex, 59, 206 W. Main St., was found guilty of possession of methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony. He was found not guilty of manufacturing methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony. A charge of dealing methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony, was previously dismissed.
His sentencing is scheduled for June 17.
Possession, maintaining
A Portland woman pleaded guilty in Jay Circuit Court to two drug-related charges.
Angela M. Gray, 47, 133 Floral Ave., pleaded guilty to possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 5 felony, and maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony. Charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a narcotic drug, Level 5 felonies, and unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony, would be dismissed. Her sentencing is scheduled for June 11.
Trial scheduled
A Dunkirk man’s jury trial has been scheduled in Jay Circuit Court.
Skylar R. Newsome, 21, 107 Rick Drive, Lot 13, is facing charges of dealing a narcotic drug, a Level 4 felony, and dealing a lookalike substance, a Level 5 felony.
His two-day jury trial is scheduled to begin either July 15 or Aug. 7.
