Thelma Schindler
Thelma C. Schindler, 86, Bryant, died May 23, 2019, at her home.
She was born April 10, 1933, in Fort Recovery to the late Frank and Elenora (Homan) Wendel. On April 28, 1956, she married the late Irvin Schindler, who died Aug. 3, 1995.
Surviving are children Deb (Randy) Smith and Janice Schindler, both of Portland, Karen (Mitch) Leuthold, Dan Schindler and Bill Schindler, all of Bryant, and Angela (Michael) Edwards of Albany; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings Imelda (Jerry) Wilker of New Bremen, Ohio, Elmer Wendel, Werner Wendel and Alvin (Martha) Wendel, all of Fort Recovery, and Melvin Wendel of Coldwater, Ohio; sister-in-law Regina Wendel of Coldwater; in-laws Donna (Leon) Homan of Coldwater, Jeanette Grieshop of Fort Recovery and Joann Wendel of Portland.
Also preceding her in death were daughter Barbara Schindler; sister Novella (Albert) Lauber; and brothers Ermin and Virgil Wendel.
Thelma was a 1951 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bryant, Indiana, and the church's Altar Rosary Sodality and Rosary Makers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with Fr. Kenneth Alt as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Calling is 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman – Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
