A new exhibit is coming to Arts Place.
“Hungry Gardens,” featuring the work of Tori Tasch, will go on display Monday.
Tasch, a Wisconsin artist who specializes in printmaking, papermaking and multimedia art, is a past Arts in the Parks teacher who will be returning this year.
Her students’ work will be on display along with her exhibit.
A reception for the exhibit is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 27.

Registration is open for several summer camps being held at Minnetrista in Muncie. The list of activities includes a culinary kids camp June 3 through 7, a junior chefs camp June 10 through 14, a glass artists camp June 17 through 21 and a creative kids glass camp June 24 through 28.

On the list
A pair of local students were named to the dean’s list recently at Trine University.
Making the list were Irene Braun, a Portland resident majoring in business administration, and Kathleen Jutte, a Fort Recovery resident majoring in design engineering technology.
In order to be named to the dean’s list, students must have a grade point average of at least 3.5.
Grants available
The Portland Foundation is accepting applications for its summer grants.
Applications that are open include standard grants as well as Teacher Creativity Mini Grants.
The foundation is also accepting applications for scholarships for current college students.
The deadline for all grant applications to be completed is 5 p.m. June 1.
