Timothy Holmes

Timothy S. Holmes, age 63, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at his residence.

He was born in Portland on Sept. 8, 1956, the son of Jack and Dorothea (Jack) Holmes. He had worked in the air conditioning and heating business for several years. He was a 1974 Portland High School graduate and a member and trainer for the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying kayaking, horseback riding and shooting sports, and was an animal lover, especially of his dog Sage.

Surviving are one brother, Rick Holmes (wife: Terri) of Muncie; one sister, Cindy Baughn (husband: William) of Homosassa, Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Dorothea Holmes; and a brother David Holmes.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland is in charge of arrangements.
