The 37th annual Holiday Benefit Auction at Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland, is set for Friday, Nov. 22. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the bidding will start at 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the auction help support programs such as Arts in the Parks, ArtWorks, MusicWorks, the performance series and more.
Among the items donated for the auction are a tour of Versailles Winery with dinner for 12, tickets to an Indianapolis Colts game and tickets to a Mannheim Steamroller concert.
Site swap
The public can learn all about Angel Mounds State Historic Site, located in Evansville, at a special program at Limberlost State Historic Site from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
During Site Swap Programs, staff members from other locations of the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites present a program at another site.
Mike Linderman, site manager for Angel Mounds, will discuss the modern history of this site where a thriving community of Native Americans existed 1,000 years ago. The price for the program is $2 for members and $3 for non-members.
