Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Imagine my surprise in reading my horoscope in this morning’s Muncie Star Press. Yes, I do read multiple newspapers.
“Maybe they won’t show enough appreciation. It’s only because they do not yet understand what goes into the making of this thing they have come to expect of you. Educate them.”
Much has been said lately at Jay County Commissioners meetings and those of Jay County Council about closing Jay County Retirement Center.
After careful review, I have found that most of them have never entered the building.
Jay County Retirement Center is having a Christmas Open House on Sunday, Dec. 8, between noon and 5 p.m. Santa for the kids has already RSVP’d with candy for the kids and homemade desserts made by the staff and residents for all in attendance.
Please, I beg of you to find the time to attend this Open House. For all of you who have never entered this building or met our residents (including our elected officials) we are in hopes you will enjoy it. At some point in time in the near future decisions will be made by our elected officials on whether to keep this facility open. You will be able to honestly say you have been there and voice your opinion, be it pro or con.
