Karen Champ, age 78, of Redkey passed away on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019, in Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester.
She was born in Hartford City on May 21, 1941, the daughter of Byrle and Beatrice (Jones) Stigleman. She was married for 25 years to Royce “Sonny” Champ, who survives.
She was a homemaker and a 1959 Redkey High School graduate.
Surviving are her husband Sonny; her mother Bea Stigleman of Redkey; two sons, Greg Shatto of Michigan and Mitch Shatto of California; step-daughter Sunnie Marie Champ of Portland; three brothers, Gene Stigleman (wife: Ellen) of Redkey, Wendell Stigleman (wife: Diane) of Fairview, Tennessee, and Mark Stigleman (wife: Sheila) of Redkey; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Byrle Stigleman and a daughter, Lou Ann Shatto.
Memorial services will be held Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Hugh Kelly presiding. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m.
Memorials can be made to the Randolph County Nursing Home.
