Another chance to learn about the Limberlost is coming this weekend.
Limberlost State Historic Site will host a guided tour of the Limberlost Swamp Nature Preserve from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The event is designed to allow visitors to learn about the plants and animals of the preserve and how naturalist/photographer Gene Stratton-Porter used the area in her books. There will also be information about the destruction and subsequent rehabilitation of the swamp.
Attendees should dress appropriately for hiking up to 2.3 miles and meet at the site’s visitor center, 202 E. 6th St., Geneva. Fees range from $3 to $5.

Hosting
Cornerstone Center for the Arts will host an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday for the “Creative Legacy” exhibit featuring art by Leon Crosby and Alex Hanson.
Crosby and Hanson are a teacher and student duo who worked together on a collection of acrylic paintings with a focus on urban art. Crosby has been a teacher at Cornerstone for about six years.

Jay County Civic Theatre will hold its second night of auditions for its production of the musical “Frozen Jr.” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Arts Place, 131 E.?Walnut St., Portland.
The show is for performers 18-and-younger. Jason McGraw will direct the show, and Reid Knuth will be the musical director.
