Linda Herriford

Linda L. Herriford, age 55, a resident of Portland, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, at Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester. She was a 1982 graduate of Jay County High School. Linda loved camping, fishing and going to yard sales. She was employed at MSSL in Portland for 13 years.
Linda Herriford was born Feb. 15, 1964, in Verdun, France, the daughter of William B. and Linda L. (Lee) Hicks. She was married to Timothy Herriford on July 27, 1984.
Survivors include:
Her beloved husband of 35 years — Timothy “Tim” Herriford, Portland
Two sons — Jason Herriford (wife: Hayley), Berne, and William Herriford (fiancé: Sierra), Portland
Her father — William B. Hicks, Portland,
Her mother-in-law — Shirley Lewis, Portland
Two sisters — Corinna Elwood (husband: Anthony) and Annette Stults (fiancé: Mike), both of Portland
Brother — Billy Hicks (wife: Michelle), Redkey
Five grandchildren — Mason, Briella, Waylon, Madalyn and Brooklyn
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant, Indiana.
Memorials may be directed to Jay County Cancer Society.
