The fall speaker series concludes Thursday.
John Jay Center for Learning’s fall speaker series will wrap up with “Putting Indiana History on the Map” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The program will feature custom maps created to commemorate Indiana’s bicentennial, which was celebrated in 2016. Melissa Gentry of Ball State University Libraries will be the guest speaker.
Concert set
Swiss Village in Berne will host The Morse Family Gospel Singers in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday. The group is based in central Ohio.

Internships available
The Indiana Senate Republican Caucus is offering paid internships for the spring semester.
Candidates must be a college sophomore or older. Internships are full-time positions with a biweekly stipend of $750.

Jay County Public Library’s events for next month include a showing of the movie “Toy Story 4” Friday.
The movie will begin at 3:30 p.m., and popcorn will be provided. Children 7 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Other activities for the muncie include a LEGO brick challenge from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Participants will be challenged to build a Halloween character and leave it to be displayed at the library.
