DELPHOS, Ohio — The Indians are moving on.
Fort Recovery’s seventh grade volleyball team opened the Midwest Athletic Conference tournament on Thursday with a 25-7, 25-6 victory against the Versailles Tigers at St. John’s.
Kennedy Muhlenkamp led the Indians with 11 aces and six kills. Karlie Niekmap was second with three kills, and Kayla Heitkamp’s four aces were second to Muhlenkamp. Nevaeh Lennarz and Ava Grisez had two aces each.
The Indians will meet the St. Henry Redskins at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Tribe, Rockets split
ANNA, Ohio — Fort Recovery’s eighth grade football team moved to 5-2 with a 36-22 victory against the Anna Rockets.
The Indians seventh graders fell 22-20.
Troy Homan, Owen Knapke and Lyndon Brikerhoff had touchdowns for the eighth graders.
Eli Lennartz and Caden Grisez scored in the loss for the seventh graders (1-6).
