The annual Building Bridges Halloween Party is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at East Jay Middle School.
The free event is designed to bring together those with special needs, local law enforcement and first responders, and the general public. It will include games, dancing and food.
Seeking donations
LifeStream is accepting donations for its AngelWish program, which provides gift bags to older adults in its service area, including Jay County.
Those interested in contributing can donate money or canned soup, or become a sponsor. Volunteers can also sign up to deliver gifts between Dec. 7 and 24.

Festival scheduled
Redkey Fall Festival is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The event will feature pumpkin carving and painting contests from noon to 4 p.m. A costume contest is scheduled for 4 p.m.
There will also be a cornhole tournament beginning at 2 p.m. and a chili cook-off from 4 to 6 p.m.
Internships available
The Indiana Senate Republican Caucus is offering paid internships for the spring semester.
Candidates must be a college sophomore or older. Internships are full-time positions with a biweekly stipend of $750.

Cornerstone hosting
Cornerstone Center for the Arts in Muncie will host its Community Halloween Party from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 24.
The free event will include games, refreshments and prizes. A portion of the Scarevania haunted house will be available at a cost of $2. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
