Fun night set for Friday

Friday night is time for fun.
Evangelical Methodist Church will host a Friday Fun Night at 6 p.m. Friday. The church is located at 930 W. Main St., Portland. For more information, contact Pastor Steve Arnold at (260) 251-0970.
Several other churches also have upcoming events:
•Walnut Corner Church, 2022 N. 500 West, will host a revival Oct. 18, 19 and 20. Fred Stevens will be the evangelist and Sue Ann McLaughlin will provide the music. Friday and Saturday sessions will begin at 7 p.m., and Sunday sessions will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
•Redkey Church of the Nazarene will host its Family Harvest Fest at 10 a.m. Sunday. Tab Beecher will perform. There will also be games and food.
•Union Chapel Church will host its homecoming next weekend. Special services are scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 25 and 26 with Jeremy Williams providing the music and Maurice McCreary as the speaker. A 10:30 a.m. Oct. 27 service will feature The Christianaires as the musicians with McCreary again as the speaker. A meal will follow at noon.
•Church of God of Prophecy will host a free sewing class for those 10 and older from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. For more information, call (260) 766-9334.
Seeking donations
LifeStream is accepting donations for its AngelWish program, which provides gift bags to older adults in its service area, including Jay County.
Those interested in contributing can donate money or canned soup, or become a sponsor. Volunteers can also sign up to deliver gifts.

Cornerstone hosting
Cornerstone Center for the Arts in Muncie will host its Community Halloween Party from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 24.
The free event will include games, refreshments and prizes. A portion of the Scarevania haunted house will be available at a cost of $2. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
