Local residents can learn about 4-H and have some fun.
The Jay County 4-H Carnival is scheduled for 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the 4-H Exhibit Hall at Jay County Fairgrounds.
The event will include food, games and prizes. Visitors will also be able to learn more about 4-H opportunities.
Auction scheduled
Fort Reocvery State Museum will host its One of a Kind Auction at 5 p.m. Sunday in the auditeria at Fort Recovery Elementary/Middle School.
The event includes a variety of items up for both silent and live auction. Food will also be provided.
Tickets are $10.
Cornerstone hosting
Cornerstone Center for the Arts in Muncie will host its Community Halloween Party from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 24.
The free event will include games, refreshments and prizes. Costumes are encouraged but not required. For more information, visit cornerstonearts.org.

Pennville Pumpkin Festival is scheduled for Saturday at Pennville Park.
Activities are scheduled throughout the day with a pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. and a 5K run/jog/walk at 8:30 a.m. Giant pumpkin weigh-in — registration is required between 9 and 11 a.m., and first prize is $1,000 — will be at 11 a.m. with awards at 1 p.m.
There will be games, activities and vendors available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the costume contest is scheduled for 4 p.m. A hog roast will run from 4 to 7 p.m., and hayrides will be available in the afternoon.
