Guest speaker set to visit Fellowship

A rural Portland church will have a guest speaker this weekend.
Tim Barton of WallBuilders will speak at Fellowship Baptist Church at 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.
Wallbuilders is an organization that is “dedicated to presenting America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional foundation on which America was built.” Burton is president of the Texas-based organization.
The church is located at 289 S. 200 West, Portland.
Other church events scheduled for this month include a gospel meeting at 6 p.m. Sept. 8, 9 and 10 at Southside Church of Christ. The church will also host a movie night at 5 p.m. Sept. 22.
Also on Sept. 22, Robert Rogers of Might in the Land Ministry will speak at 10:30 a.m. at Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 22.
Shows set
Charles W. Brown Planetarium at Ball State University will host the show “We Are Stars” at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 6:30 and 8 p.m. Saturday. Shows are also scheduled for Sept. 13 and 14.

State Rep. Travis Holdman is offering paid internships for the spring semester. Candidates must be at least a sophomore in college.
