ARCANUM — The Indians cruised to their second-set win Monday.
They had to battle in the third, but lost.
The fourth came easily to put the match away.
Fort Recovery High School’s volleyball team, which is ranked sixth in Division IV, moved to 10-1 on the season with a 25-19, 25-12, 24-26, 25-11 win against the host Franklin Monroe Jets.
Paige Fortkamp led the Indian offense with 16 kills, and her 12 digs were third on the team behind Kierra Wendel’s 20 and Brooke Kahlig’s 19.
Whitley Rammel chipped in 12 kills and five blocks, while Paige Jutte and Olivia Patch had 10 kills each. Hope Wendel (32 assists) and Chloe Showalter (20) shared setting duties in the win.
Fort Recovery’s junior varsity team disposed of the Jets in two sets, 25-16, 25-12.
Grace Guggenbiller led the team with six kills and Grace Klingshirn had four kills. Madelyn Knapke recorded six assists.
Tribe beats ’Cats
FORT RECOVERY — The Fort Recovery freshman volleyball team earned a 25-11, 25-19 win against the Minster Wildcats on Monday.
Brooklyn Jutte and Allysen Fullenkamp shared the team high of four kills, and Faith Wendel contributed three kills. Fullenkamp led the squad with five aces, as Sophie Pearson, Abby Knapke and Wendel recorded three aces each.
