This library lab won’t just be about labs.

Jay County Public Library will host a Family STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) lab about dogs at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The Jay County 4-H Dog Club will offer a demonstration about dog care and training. All dogs at the event will be on leashes.

Concerts set

Ball State University will host several concert events this week, including the Ball State Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sursa Hall. Tickets are $5.

Ball State Jazz Ensembles will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sursa Hall. There are three events scheduled for Friday, with Lost Bayou Ramblers performing at 1 p.m. and a faculty artist series recital at 5:30 p.m., both at Sursa Hall.

University Singers Cabaret is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Vera Mae’s Bistro in downtown Muncie. On Sunday, Stephen Buzard will perform at 3:30 p.m. at Sursa Hall.




Enroll quickly

Ivy Tech?Community College in Muncie will hold express enrollment sessions from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday. Students can receive help with admissions, orientation, testing, financial aid and registering for classes. 



Hosting training

The training session is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in conference room A and B at the hospital. Participants will receive training about overdoses, learn how to use naloxone properly and hear from a peer recovery coach. There will also be time for a question-and-answer session.

The event is free, and participants will receive naloxone kits.
