Former local residents Fred and Margaret (Maggie) Reynolds will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary Sunday.
They were wed in Portland by the Rev. L.G.D. Mertz in the E.U.B. parsonage in Portland on April 5, 1950.
Fred graduated from Pennville High School, and Maggie graduated from Portland High School.
They are the parents of Tim (wife: Susan) Reynolds, Anderson; Teresa Reynolds, Locust, North Carolina; and Tina Moore, Spartanburg, South Carolina. They also have eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
They were members of First Friends Church, Anderson, and now attend United Wesleyan Church. Fred was a Past Master of Fellowship at the Masonic Lodge of Anderson and is retired from Delco Remy. Maggie retired from Anderson Schools food services.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, there will be no celebration.
