Obituary
Jeffery Alan Scott, age 60, of Portland passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2020, at his residence following a sudden illness.
He was born in Portland on Jan. 21, 1960, the son of Charles Thomas and Mary Evelyn (Coons) Scott. He was married on June 14, 2014, to Mickey Miller who survives.
He was a driver for Ernst Concrete, member of Portland Elks Lodge, Portland Eagles Lodge, Fort Recovery VFW and Sons of American Legion, and was a graduate of Jay County High School. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast.
Surviving are his wife Mickey; one son, Andrew Scott of Portland; three daughters, Jessica Jones (husband: Jian) of Portland, Jen Farmer (husband: Andrew) of Anderson and Chrissy Gonzalez; six sisters, Cindy Brown (companion: Rick Caldwell) of Portland, Pam Reading of Portland, Sharon Ausland (husband: Kenny Sr.) of Portland, Patty Carter of Jay County, Kim Galloway (husband: Kerry) of Geneva and Staci Jordon (husband: Chad) of Union City; special granddaughter Ruby Jones; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry.
Funeral services will be held at a later date. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
