Rick R. Myers, age 52, of Redkey, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, at his residence.
He was born in Portland on Sept. 29, 1967, the son of Ralph and Mary (Yaney) Myers. He was married to Cindy Ashburn who survives.
He had worked as a painter for Bill McCoy Ford in Muncie. He was a 1985 Jay County High School graduate.
Surviving are his wife Cindy; two sons, Eric Myers (wife: Alissa) and Ryan Myers both of Redkey; two daughters, Ashleigh Collins (husband: Michael) and Jessica Stephen both of Portland; five brothers, James Myers, Kenneth Myers and Michael Myers ,all of Portland, Craig Myers of Bryant, and Jeff Myers of Greenville; five sisters, Rose Snow, Linda Runyon, Sandy Lingo, Debra Bost and Kristy Ainsworth, all of Portland; four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Matt Ransom presiding in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey. Visitation will be Friday from noon to 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
