Roma Ni (Pursifull) Critton, 90, formerly of Redkey, Indiana, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at Albany Health Center in Albany, Indiana.
Roma Ni was born in Muncie, Indiana, on April 13, 1930, daughter of the late Josephine M. (Hook) Pursifull and George A. Pursifull. She was a 1947 graduate of Redkey High School and an extremely talented seamstress, upholster and a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, sewing, puzzles, camping, volunteering at church, socializing with friends and spending time with her family.
Roma Ni was a member of the Eastern Star and First Christian Church in Redkey and White Chapel Congregational Christian Church in rural Albany.
Roma Ni leaves behind her four sons, Kenn Critton (wife: Jacqueline), Madison, Alabama, Paul Critton (wife: Debbie), Muncie, Indiana, Rex Critton (wife: Jennifer), Tucson, Arizona, and Lester Critton (wife: Kelly), Amelia, Virginia; one brother, Keith Pursifull, Redkey, Indiana; one son-in-law, Robert Wood, Ocala, Florida; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Wood; parents, George and Josephine Pursifull; Robert J. Critton (father of her children); and brother, Drexel Pursifull.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, private services will be held for the immediate family followed by burial in Union Cemetery in Eaton, Indiana, with Pastor Jerry Miller of the First Freewill Baptist Church, Muncie, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (Fort Wayne/Indianapolis).
Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries, Redkey, Indiana.
