To the editor:
Xi Chapter, Delta Theta Tau, is so grateful and want to thank the community and businesses that made the Nov. 14, 2020, “Shop Portland Like it is the Delts’ Craft Show Day” such a tremendous success.
This event would not have happened without Remember When owners and operators Cindy Shawver and Missy Puterbaugh planning and their hard work in creating this event. Thank you so much.
By the kind, caring generosity of the following businesses that participated as well as the enthusiastic individual shoppers, “Shop Portland Like it is the Delts’ Craft Show Day” made it possible to donate $2,600 to our sorority’s philanthropic fund:
Remember When, Grounds on the Fly, Altered Style, Grandma and Me Quiltin’, Bizy Dips, Country Creek Primitives, Jamar Appliances, Jay County Antique Mall, Locker’s Gifts, Medler’s Furniture, Sharlette’s Fudgery and The Flower Nook.
We are also very grateful to the following individuals that made very generous donations to the total amount received from this event:
Arch Bridge Kroozers and Mike Shawver, Jim and Carol Zimmerman, Joyce Milligan and a generous anonymous donor.
Thank you all so very much.
The “goodies and treats” fundraiser that our sorority was able to hold that day added another $1,404 to our philanthropic fund. We want to thank everyone that supported our fundraiser and we extend a special thank you to the Theurer family, which gave an extremely generous donation in memory of Mandy.
Lastly, we thank each of the people who came out to shop not only the above businesses in Portland that day but who supported Portland in any way.
Your support, kindness and blessings to Xi Chapter that day will enable us to give back to some individuals and groups in our community that need a helping hand.
Thank you.
