William Horn
Obituaries
William “Bill” Horn, age 83, of rural Bryant passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Bill was born in Pennville on April 17, 1937, the son of Lloyd and Genevra (Briggs) Horn. He was married on Sept. 1, 1957, to Arlene Ninde, who survives. He was a 1955 Poling High School graduate and graduate of International Business College.
Bill was a farmer and an accountant. He had worked for MainSource Bank and Sheller-Globe. He had served on many boards including Jay County REMC, Jay-Randolph Developmental Services, USDA, chamber of commerce and Jay County Sheriff’s Office Merit Board, and received and Honorary Chapter FFA Degree in 2017. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
After retiring, he enjoyed assisting on the farm, helping kids with projects, fixing things and preparing tax returns for his many clients.
Surviving are his wife Arlene; two sons, Douglas Horn (wife: Carla) of Bryant and Mark Horn (wife: Laurette) of Portland; one daughter, Jane Evans (husband: Steve) of Pennville; one brother, Raymond Horn of Portland; six grandchildren, Jenae Blasdel, Ashley Houck, Dana Dull, Loryn Horn, Brad Horn and LeAnn VanDeman; and four great-grandchildren, Eden, Kinsley and Macie Dull and Harrison Houck.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Horn.
Funeral services will be on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Hugh Kelly presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant. Please observe all COIVD-19 precautions.
