Jackie G. Baughman, age 78, of Portland passed away Monday morning Dec. 7, 2020, in the Wesleyan Healthcare in Marion, Indiana.
He was born in Redkey on June 6, 1942, the son of Glen and Lillie Mae (Morrical) Baughman. He served with the U.S. Army with the 192nd Light Infantry Air Borne Division from 1966 to 1968 and graduated from Redkey High School.
Jackie was a factory foreman for Jay Products in Portland and had also worked for Aluminum Factory in Redkey.
He was married on Oct. 16, 1970, to Nezzie Youngblood, and she passed away on Dec. 9, 2018.
Surviving are six sons, Richard Hodge of Denver, Colorado, Rick Hodge of Muncie, Lonnie Stephens of Portland, Brian Stephens of Portland, Jamie Baughman of Portland and Jackie Baughman (wife: Jacqueline) of Portland; two daughters, Debra Bullard of Eaton, Indiana, and Kai-li Baughman of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at 10 a.m. with Pastors Hugh Kelly and Phill Jellison presiding. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory in Muncie. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society or Choice of the Donor.
