Lois Luttman
Obituaries
Lois Luttman, 90, of Redkey, Indiana, passed away peacefully Dec. 13, 2020, following a stroke. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Lois Ann Boozier was born on May 28, 1930, to Blanche and Fred Boozier in Portland, Indiana. After high school, she worked at the Armstrong Glass Factory in Dunkirk, Indiana, and later with her stepfather, Bob Wallace, in Jay County Assessor's Office, Portland, Indiana.
On May 30, 1947, Lois married Mike Luttman and they had three sons, Ken, Doug and Jon Bill.
Lois was initiated into the Order of the Eastern Star on Feb. 21, 1972, where she served as worthy matron in 1977, 1978, 1987 and 1991. She was also appointed district deputy of District 14, Order of the Eastern Star. Lois was just two years short of receiving her 50-year pin, the Award of Gold. Affiliation with the Order of the Eastern Star was a most defining moment and honor for her.
Lois was predeceased by her parents and stepfather Bob Wallace; her husband; her son Jon Bill; grandson Jon Michael Luttman; and seven siblings.
Lois is survived by two sons, Doug (Charlotte) of Indiana and Ken (Connie) of South Carolina; and grandchildren.
Lois lived a very full and happy life. She was kind, giving and free with her love for her family and friends, always helping those in need. No one had to ask for her help, only had to say when it was needed. She was always there to lend a hand. She provided food for the hungry and comfort for anyone in despair. She was a faithful church member.
We may forget words she said and forget things she did, but we will never forget how she made us feel. Lois will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Services are private at the convenience of the family with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey, Indiana.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries — Redkey Chapel.
