Patrick Wallace

Patrick Wallace, age 71, a resident of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at his sons’ home in Montgomery, Illinois, following an extended illness.

Patrick was born on June 26, 1949, in Portland, Indiana, the son of John and Myrtle (Tharp) Wallace. He graduated from Madison Township High School. Patrick served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam. He retired from the Portland Forge after 43 years of service.

Survivors include:

One son — Aaron Wallace (wife: Janessa), Montgomery, Illinois

Two daughters — Sonja Phillips (husband: Jason), Portland, Indiana, and Karrie Bussell (husband: Ray), Maineville, Ohio

Two brothers: Phillip Wallace (wife: Colene), Portland, Indiana, and Dennis Wallace (wife: Mary Ann), Anderson, Indiana

Six grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Services to celebrate Patrick’s life will follow at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Larry Eads will officiate the service and burial will follow in Lawndale Cemetery, west of Deerfield, Indiana. American Legion Post #211 of Portland will conduct military graveside rites.
