Cathy Sager

Cathy Jo Sager, NP, RN, MSN FNP C, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati. She was 52 years old.

The daughter of Elvin and Ruth Sager was born on May 26, 1968, in Portland, Indiana.

Cathy graduated from Ball State University with her bachelor of science and master’s of science degrees in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner for several hospitals over the years, including IU Health Ball Memorial in Muncie, Rush Memorial in Rushville and IU Health Methodist and Indiana Heart, both in Indianapolis. Most recently she worked for Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana.

She is survived by her sister, Debra Flospohler (Donald) of Batesville; and brother, Stephen Sager (Su) of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Diana Vance; and longtime partner, Dr. Joe Calderizzo.
