Kenton J. Green, age 63, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on Dec. 10, 2020, at Wilmington Hospital.
Born Sept. 26, 1957, in Portland, Indiana, he was the son of the late Janet (Pursifull) and Milo Green. Kent was a 1975 graduate of Pennville High School and attended Purdue University and received his bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics.
He moved east, beginning his working career as a government inspector at the grain elevators in Philadelphia. Eventually, he became a land surveyor, earning his professional license in Delaware and Pennsylvania. He went on to found his own surveying company, Site Dimensions.
Aside from work, Kent had many hobbies and interests. He flew small aircraft and enjoyed flying, building and collecting model airplanes as well. He also enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay and working on his boat. However, most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Kent is survived by his children, Alexander and Elias Green, both of Hockessin, Delaware; his sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and Fred Medler, Portland, Indiana; his dog, Chopper; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Kent was preceded in death by a sister, Janelle (Green) Price.
A celebration of Kent’s life will be held when it is safe to gather.
