Firearm possession

A Redkey man was arrested Monday for alleged unlawful possession of a firearm.

Richard A. Bostelman, 56, was preliminarily charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, a Level 6 felony. He’s being held in Jay County Jail on $3,000 bond.



Battery

A Dunkirk man was arrested Monday for alleged battery.

Zachary W. Zigler, 33, was preliminarily charged with two Level 6 felonies for battery and obstructing justice. He was booked into Jay County Jail with bond set at $4,500.



Failure to appear

A Portland woman was arrested Saturday for failing to appear in court for drug-related charges.

Jasmine R. Weatherhead, 23, has previous charges for possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. She was booked into Jay County Jail with no set bond.
