Obituary
Carolyn Jean Huey, age 86, of Portland passed away on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare in Portland.
Carolyn was born in Bryant on Nov. 5, 1934, the daughter of Harold and Dollie (Myers) Garlinger. She was retired from Corning Glass in Bluffton and was an elderly caregiver.
Surviving are three daughters, Diana Kay Schott (husband: Ed) of Union City, Ohio, Janice Marlean Huey of Geneva and Susan Elaine Huey of Portland; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ted Huey; two brothers, James Garlinger and Wilson Garlinger; and two sisters, Alverga Delee Shug and Mable Thrash.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Phill Jellison presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
