Obituary
Sarah Margaret Miller, 76, of Redkey, Indiana, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, while in the company of family members at IU Health Jay in Portland, Indiana.
Sarah was born in Muncie, Indiana, on July 11, 1944, a daughter of the late Alma Louise (Wood) and Paul Lewis Moyer. She attended Dunkirk High School and was formerly employed by Indiana Glass. She was the loving wife of Jerry Bruce Miller who she happily married on Sept. 29, 1962.
Sarah loved spending time with her family and friends and helping anyone in need. She was known for her generosity at Christmas time. Each year she picked a local family in need and made them full, home-cooked dinners with all the trimmings and bought Christmas presents for every member of that family.
Sarah was also very artistic and enjoyed crocheting, painting, cooking, baking, making candy during the holiday's with her girls, dancing and traveling with her husband, collecting carousels, chickens and salt and pepper shakers, listening to Elvis Presley and the oldies, watching soap operas and the Game Show Network, playing games with her grandchildren, poker and bingo.
Sarah is survived by her husband Jerry; one son, Kile Miller (Michelle); 3 daughters, Twila Teegarden (Bonnie McDonald), Yolonda Duncan (Curtis) and Crystal Cline (Tony); nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Bob Moyer.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Jay County Cancer Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel.
