Lois England, age 79, of Portland passed away Monday morning, Feb. 3, 2020, at Miller's Merry Manor in Dunkirk.
She was born in Portland on April 29, 1940, the daughter of Lester and Lois Louella (Buckmaster) Lotz. She had worked at Tom and Rod's in Portland and was also a personal caregiver. She was a 1958 Portland High School graduate and member of the Portland Moose Lodge, Portland Eagles Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are one son, David England (wife: Toni) of Portland; one daughter, Lisa Weaver (husband: Brad) of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Meridith Lotz (wife: Marilyn) of Carmel, Indiana, and Milton Lotz of Monticello, Indiana; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Also surviving is her beloved cat Gus.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, at 5 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Fr. Robert Moran presiding. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m.
Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
