ST. HENRY, Ohio — The Redskins held the ball for about five minutes of the second quarter.
A late 3-pointer pulled them within one at the end of the third.
But the Indians owned the fourth.
Fort Recovery tallied 18 points in the final period Friday night to pull away from St. Henry for a 49-40 victory.
The Indians trailed by one after the opening quarter, but 3-pointers from Derek Jutee and Grant Knapke that accounted for all of their second-quarter scoring put them up by two at the half. Ben Evers’ triple to close the third quarter pulled St. Henry (10-9, 3-4 Midwest Athletic Conference) within one before FRHS, led by nine points from Jutte, put the game away in the fourth.
Jutte paced the Indians with 16 points as they stayed in the race for the runner-up spot in the MAC. They are now 5-3 in the league and 14-3 overall.
Ryne Post scored nine points for the Indians, and Clay Schmitz added eight.
St. Henry got 16 points from junior Riley Link.
