Donna J. Ogborn, age 95, a former Portland resident, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, in Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne.
She was born Oct. 13, 1924, the daughter of William and Una (Reed) Steveley. She was married in 1946 to Chester L. Ogborn and he passed away on May 16, 1995. She was a retired school teacher and principal having taught at Gray, Bryant, Noble, Judge Haynes, Lincoln, Garfield and Pennville schools. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Indiana State Teachers Association, Quilt Club, Eastern Star and Teacher's sorority Phi Delta Kappa.
Surviving are one son, Stephen Ogborn (wife: Katherine) of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Don Stevely of Madison, Indiana, and Robert Stevely of Florida; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Jameson; and two great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland.
