Trump acts like a would-be king
Letter to the editor
To the editor:
This is a short commentary on recent events.
It is arguable whether President Donald Trump is conducting a post-impeachment purge, but it sure seems suspicious. Surrounding himself with loyalists feeds his paranoid delusions, and Trump’s history reveals him to be prone to such behavior. Becoming chief executive of the country only exacerbated this proclivity.
In my opinion, Trump fancies himself as a would-be king, and his frustration is made manifest by the restrictions placed on his power(s) by the Constitution.
Many would-be autocrats suffer from this paranoid-delusional malady, psychiatrists refer to it as a “Napoleon complex.”
