William Enyart
William L. Enyart, 77, of Portland, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2020, at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne.
He was born Aug. 6, 1942, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Vernon Lionel Enyart and Margaret Ruth (Huey) Enyart Zimmerly. Bill and Janice (Shindeldecker) were married on July 6, 1963, and she preceded him in death April 7, 1975.
On Jan. 10, 1976, he married Patty (Shreves). She survives with three children, Lionel (Lisa) Enyart of Van Wert, Ohio, Mark Enyart of Coldwater, Ohio, and Tracy (Jack) Britt of South Whitley; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his sister, Sharon Compson; grandson, Ethan Enyart; and stepfather, Clayton Zimmerly.
Bill had been the owner of Enyart Trucking in Portland. After selling the business, he worked for Limestone Products, Portland.
He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Portland. Church and family were the cornerstones of Bill's life.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 11, at W.H. Dick & Sons –Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Hugh Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina. Calling Hours are 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, and 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jay County Christian Academy, 289 S. 200 West, Portland.
