William Baldwin and Renee Riendeau were wed Dec. 28 at Zion Lutheran Church, Portland. Pastor Martin Bornhoeft officiated.

The daughter of Ray and Dianne Riendeau, former Jay County residents now residing in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, the bride is a teacher at Muncie Central High School. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ball State University.

The son of Verna Loper, Portland, and the late Robert Baldwin and the late Charles Loper, the groom is 911 director for the Jay County Sheriff’s Office. An army veteran, he has served with the sheriff’s office for 29 years.

The couple will reside in Portland.

The bride wore an off-white French lace and rhinestone strapless long grown and carried a bouquet of fresh ivory, burgundy and pink roses. She was given away by her father, Ray Riendeau.

Morgan Herron, daughter of the bride, served as maid of honor, while Kyla Whitehair, daughter of the groom served as bridesmaid.

Harper May, Lafayette, and Harper Whitehair, Muncie, served as flower girls. Ring bearers were Jack Herron, West Lafayette, and Jaxon Whitehair, Muncie.

Kaleb Baldwin, son of the groom, DesMoines, Iowa, was best man. Marek Hullinger, son of the bride, Kokomo, served as groomsman.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Portland Golf Club.

The couple will honeymoon this summer in the Caribbean.
