Diane Hanlin, age 78, of Portland passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born in Portland on July 24, 1941, the daughter of Dale and Frances (Rohrig) Kinsey. She was married June 23, 1962, to Phil Hanlin, who survives.
She was a special education school teacher and then a child welfare case worker. She attended Mount Zion Church, was amember of Tri Kappa Sorority and a 1959 Portland High School graduate, and earned her master’s degree from Ball State University.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years Phil; one son, Chris Hanlin (wife: Kelly) of Sonoma, California; one daughter, Teresa Michelle Currie of Portland; and three grandchildren, Riley, Mackenzie and Aaron.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at 10 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Borders presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
