A local actor will be featured on ABC this week.
Katie Rowles of Portland is part of tonight’s episode of the show “What Would You Do?” that will air at 10 p.m. Tuesday.
The segment featuring Rowles, who will be a seventh grader this year at Jay County Junior/Senior High School, was filmed two years ago. The show, which first aired in 2008, ran a 13-episode season in 2018 and a five-episode season last year.
Rowles starred in a 2019 music video for the group Goldtone. She also won the film scene event and received a Top Child Award for all of her performances at the 2017 ARTS Showcase in Orlando, Florida.
She has also been involved locally in Jay County Civic Theatre productions and as a member of the East Jay Middle School choir.
Graduates
Two Fort Recovery residents recently announced their college graduations.
Logan Ranly earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She graduated during a virtual ceremony in May.
Cole Hull received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. A virtual ceremony is scheduled for Aug. 15.
Event canceled
Cornerstone Center for the Arts has canceled Muncie Brewfest because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The event was scheduled for Aug. 15.
All tickets for Muncie Brewfest will be honored for the rescheduled date of April 17.
